Club Statement: Safeguarding Children in Cricket

Posted by Stuart Rudkin on 11/01/2017 11:08

Darley Dale Cricket Club, the Derbyshire Cricket Board (DCB) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are totally committed to offering a safe environment for everyone to play the game and we take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously. At a time when there is an understandable interest in this subject, it is important that everybody has access to all the information and support available to them, and is aware of how to raise any issues or concerns. Important information and support can be found through the resources below.

Darley Dale Cricket Club Policy for Safeguarding and Protecting Children

The DCB Child Welfare Policy - http://www.dcbcricket.com/about-us/policies/child-welfare

The ECB policy for safeguarding children - Safe Hands - which applies at all levels of the game - https://www.ecb.co.uk/safeguarding

The NSPCC guidance for child protection in sport - https://thecpsu.org.uk/help-advice/related-information/information-for-parents-and-carers

We will continue to work with the DCB, ECB and our partners to take appropriate action to ensure that all young people and children participating in cricket have a safe and positive experience.
